Welcome, Scarf

This silly scarf! I've been meaning to wear it in many an outfit post before this, as I wear it every morning to work, but by the time I'm home the scarf is ensconced somewhere in the vortex of my giant vagina-purse (ask Greg about that one), and I've thoroughly forgotten about it. Anyway, today this dress was begging to be Christmas-ified with a red plaid scarf. When I tried to tell the dress it wasn't Christmastime anymore, however, it wouldn't listen and in a fit of rebellion spilled coffee grounds all over the floor. Luckily it spilled them in the kitchen, so I was able to clean up quickly, but the dress won't be getting its way so easily in the future. YOU HEAR THAT DRESS? No more "Christmassy" looks for you. [Disclaimer: the dress did not actually spill coffee grounds. Nobody did. I made it up. I'm not actually schizophrenic or something. Or am I...]

I'm wearing: Target dress and scarf, necklace from Mom, H&M cardigan, F21 earrings.

Last night I watched the first two episodes of Sherlock while working on grad school application stuff and dicking around on the internet. I don't even want to count how many times I've seen it. It's kind of ridiculous, but it doesn't get old for me! And I like to just have it as background ambiance. There are many movies I like to have on as background ambiance. A Knight's Tale is an old favorite, especially with the commentary on. I think I know the commentary better than I know the movie itself. Pride & Prejudice is a regular standby, as is Emma. Gotta love those Jane Austen adaptations. What movies can you watch over and over and over without wanting to pop your eyes out with a spoon?

So I am going to have to wait until February 22nd to get an iPhone, but that's okay, because I'm an adult and I can wait patiently for awesome things. ...No, that's a lie, I can't wait for things and I am dying of impatience. Want iPhone Now! WANT iPHONE NOW (even in capslock, the "i" must be lowercase!).

Well well well well. The next movie on our Netflix queue is Get Him to the Greek, which I thought was about frat houses until a few days ago. It's a pleasant surprise to be wrong in this case. I can't think of another case when it would be pleasant to be wrong, however. Being right is kind of my thing.

What is next in your Netflix queue? Anything badass I should check out on instant watch? Wait I take that back -- I'm meant to be watching Gavin and Stacey next. So I guess don't recommend anything or I will NEVER WATCH IT.

I love your face in the third picture!
Also, just watched "Robin Hood"- like "Gladiator" with bows and arrows! I liked it.
Next is "In the Name of the Father"- Ireland and Daniel Day Lewis and Emma Thompson as an attorney!

Well I hope you like throw up scenes (you'll understand soon...muh hahaha!!) Get Em To the Greek is supposed to be really funny.

My good ole stand by is my Dr. Quinn series. All 6 seasons. I'm a nerd.

And may I say that dress is fabulous! I really love the color and the laciness of it.

Okay, as always, I want that green lace dress. I saw you wear it months ago and my cold little heart warmed right up.

Next on my queue is 'Invictus.' We'll see-- I think Morgan Freeman will be playing a wise man with pointed lines. Go figure!

Meg, of all the posts you've ever written, this one most exemplifies why you're awesome. Each sentence is more fantastic than the one before. Hearts to you!

I've started watching Pillars of the Earth on Netflix. So far, I heart it.

You make me crack up girl! :DDD
I hate Russell Brand with a passion so I'm not too keen on seeing Get Him To The Greek, despite my love for Jonah Hill. Do let me know your thoughts though - maybe if you can stomach it so can I. Unless you love Russell Brand and in that case this friendship is over. Ok, wait, let's re-consider this...
You look spectacularly pixie like today! I love your magnifying glass necklace - too cute.

Hope you're having a stellar week... 22nd feb will be here before you know it! xoxo

ps. The dress is gorgeous so it can do as it pleases. So there.

I love the scarf and dress - target has the best clothes! I love that the dress is a green lace, it seems like I mostly just see ivory or black lace items, so it's a nice change. Also, your Italy pictures from your last post made me want to go back to Rome more than anything!

It doesn't look christmassy! I have the same unfortunate pair of socks with reindeers on that refuse to acknowledge that it is february and not december.
Get Him To The Greek is vair vair funny, if you like Russell Brand you have to catch him on Never Mind The Buzzcocks when you get to England (eeee!) it's a music quiz show. That you will love.
Have a lovely Wednesday x

I love that dressss. You find the best dresses at Target.

Breakfast Club is my go-to background movie of choice. And I used to be obsessed with Disney's Swiss Family Robinson when i was a kid, and I just watched it again recently...and, yeah. I still love it. So there's another one.

I like how Scarf made you look straight at the camera, almost, with your pretty pretty face. (Do I sound like a grandmother?) Thank you, Scarf!

You tell that dress! I love how entertaining you are. . .but I've said that. I love how you write. Your dress is so nice but that scarf looks great with it. Makes me want to watch Harry Potter movies in a way. Or reread the books. I never heard of the movie you said is next in your que.
I do 5-at-a-time because I'm insane like that and have been using netflix for over 6 years now that one is certainly not enough. haha.

These are my next 5 although the first one has been "Very Long Wait" for a week now.
Secretariat, Alpha and Omega (for the boys), Good News (gotta have a classic in there), Easy A, and The Wizard (80s fun). Otherwise at home I have Edge of Darkness and You'll Never Get Rich (fred astaire film). I'm watching The Man with One Red Shoe right now (it's almost done), I finished Glee season 2: disk 3 last night and today I'm expecting Love Takes Wing (a prairie type of romantic story).
I have 257 films in my que and 64 in my instant play. ahh.

your posts make me a laugh a lot and often make my day. I just need you to know this so you never ever stop blogging. not that you ever mentioned not blogging. I am just worrying.

i can't even remember what's next in my netflix queue because i've had raising arizona for a million years. i have to put that back in the mail. i keep on forgetting. i'm not the best netflixer.

Ahahah, Meg you are so weird but I love it! I love how you personify your clothes. Makes for fun reading hehe.

And this is totally random, but I used to have a slight fear that I was schizophrenic and that everything I thought actually happened, wasn't happening. But I think if I'm afraid of it, that means I'm not crazy right? Cause if you're crazy you have no idea. Okay, done.

Meg this is going to sound strange, but do you ever give inanimate objects names and personalities? 'Cuz I do. a lot. and your dress/coffee thing just made me laugh :P
